Mediterranean and Asia Marine Alliance (MAMA) is jointly initiated by Lian Tat Company (LTC) and Tunghai Industry Smart-Transformation Center (TISC), with LTC being the main initiator. The establishment of this alliance is to connect the ocean research institutes of Mediterranean and Asian areas, integrate cross-border resources of industry, government, school and research institutes, so as to increase the worldwide visibility of Taiwan’s ocean research results, and expand its research ability and capacity of ocean related subjects.
MAMA includes research subjects of Ocean Policy, Smart Ocean, Ocean Resources, Ocean Biology, Marine Industry and Ocean Culture. By holding international ocean summit forum each year as planned, it will promote academic exchange and cooperation, and accelerate the integration, investment and technology transfer of ocean related industries.
